Daniel Schmidt

Daniel G. Schmidt, 79, of Walton, Kentucky passed away on Friday July 31, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood. He was a retired Covington firefighter and a U.S. Army Veteran.

Daniel was born in Covington to Bernard and Rosemary Decker Schmidt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Mary F. Tiemeyer Schmidt; siblings, Bernie Schmidt and Lynne (Schmidt) Noll.

Surviving are his daughters, Julie (Larry) Schalk, Lisa (Dan) Babb and Diana (Tom) Yunker; siblings,  Jim Schmidt, Rosalie Schmidt McDavid and Steve Schmidt; seven grandchildren, Kayla, Larry III, Ryan, Abi, Nate, Colby and Jennifer; and one great grandchild, Matthew.

Private graveside services will take place at St. John Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, Kentucky.

Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington is serving the family.
