Clara Catherine Demmien Robke, 99, of Lakeside Park died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Robke was member of Blessed Sacrament Church, a lifetime member of the St. Elizabeth Circle of Mary, past president of the Mother’s Club of LaSalette Academy, member of the Mother’s Club of Villa Madonna Academy and past president of the Mother’s Club of St. Xavier High School. She was a former chairman of the Guardian Guild of the Diocese of Covington, a Master Bridge player, and the originator of the Pink Ladies of St. Elizabeth Hospital, Covington. She was the Bus Chairman of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and a life member of the Covington Art Club. Mrs. Robke was also a pianist and seamstress. She performed style shows for many years at the Covington Optimist Club, the Covington Art Club and Summit Hills Country Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph G. Robke in 2002; a granddaughter, Shannon Callahan; and her parents, Charles J. and Catherine Polking Demmien.
Survivors include a son, Ralph C. “Bud” Robke and wife, Debbie of Edgewood; two daughters, Barbara L. Robke-Callahan of Silverton, Oregon and Elinor A. Robke-Comer and husband, John Comer of Crescent Springs; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
Visitation is Saturday, December 29, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Fort Mitchell. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Reverends Dan Vogelpohl and Leo Schmitt to celebrate Mass.
Entombment at St. Mary Cemetery Mausoleum, Fort Mitchell. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington is serving the family.
