Charles Waters

September 23, 1922 — June 16, 2010

Charles "Chuck" William Waters, 87, of Ludlow, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare of Florence. He was a retired Railroad Conductor with Norfolk and Southern Railroad. Also, for more than 40 years, Mr. Waters operated a lawn mower and small engine repair business from his home. Chances are, if you had a lawn to mow and lived in Ludlow or West Covington, you knew him and had him work on your mower.

Mr. Waters was a United States Air Force Veteran, having served as a Sargeant during World War II.

He was a Charter Member, Deacon, and Trustee of Covington Church of God.

Survivors include his son, Daryl Linn Waters of Ludlow, Kentucky; daughters, Peggy (Paul) Rector of Ludlow, Kentucky and Carolyn (Roy) Knipp of Hebron, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Josie Meece Waters; son, Charles "Eddie" E. Waters; and parents, Charles W. and Bethel Reddx Waters.
