Cecil Dean Hamilton, 62, of Bromley, died Tuesday, June 1 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Covington. He was a retired Mail Handler for the U.S. Postal Service at the Sharonville Bulk Mail Center.
Mr. Hamilton was a United States Marine Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, Bromley. He was a founding member of the Veterans Committee of the Sharonville Bulk Mail Center and was recently elected as Commandant of the Marine Corps League, Northern Kentucky Detachment #1006. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association and the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Jones Hamilton; daughters, Marnie (Paul) Wagner of Spokane, Washington and Myriah (Chad) Johnson of Boston, Massachusetts; son, Matthew Dean (Jennifer) Hamilton of Irvine, California; brothers, Michael “Mickey” (Cheryl) Young of Owingsville, Kentucky and Roger (Mary) Frances of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; aunt, Margaret Kruse, who raised him; and grandchildren, Braelea Wagner, Arley Johnson, Colton Dean Hamilton, Hailey Hamilton, Cody Wagner and Addelyn Johnson.
