Carrie Elizabeth "Liz" (Johnson) Conrad, 82, of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, formerly of Hebron, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the Fleming County Hospital, Flemingsburg.
She was born in Artemus, Kentucky on April 1, 1940, to Jesse and Stella (Williams) Johnson. Elizabeth was retired from the Boone County Public Schools where she taught 7th Grade Biology at Ockerman Jr. High for many years.
She attended Union College for two years, then transferred to the University of Kentucky to complete her BS with a double Major in Biology and Chemistry. Elizabeth then received her MEd from Xavier University.
She was a member of the Boone Co. Chapter DAR; the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association; the Boone Co. Retired Teachers Association and she enjoyed traveling to many places, including Greece, Ireland, England and Ecuador.
She was an avid genealogist who loved to research her family history.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, David Carroll Conrad in 1977; her parents, Jesse and Stella Johnson and a brother, John Johnson.
Survivors include her sons, Daniel (Jill) Conrad, David (Melinda) Conrad and Mark (Lori) Conrad; sister, Phyllis (Steve) Murphy; seven grandchildren, G.W. Conrad, Jacob Conrad, Carrie Conrad, Dallas Conrad, Violet Conrad, Delilah Conrad and Eli Conrad; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation is 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. Funeral services to follow at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be Private in Hebron Lutheran Cemetery, Hebron.
