Carl Clinton Kirby, 76, of Florence died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Hospice of St. Elizabeth, Edgewood. He was a retired Truck Driver for William Glenney Glass Company of Cincinnati.
Born November 27, 1936 in Mount Vernon, Kentucky to the late Raymond and Christine Payne Kirby, Carl enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, bluegrass music and his family.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie Jane “Janie” Champlin Kirby; son, Michael (Rita) Kirby of Florence; daughters, Bonnie (Rick) Smith of Union and Donna (Todd) Delph of Hebron; a sister, Emma Jean (Ernest) Sturgill of Louisville; two brothers, James (Julie) Kirby of Goshen, Ohio and Doug (Lynn) Kirby of Delhi, Ohio; grandchildren, Ashley, Casey, Ricky, Codey, Steve and Adam; and great grandchildren, Carly, Aiden, Austin, Aidan and Jasmine.
He was preceded in death by sister, Louise McQueen; and brother, Paul Kirby.
Visitation is Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. Funeral service to follow at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Mr. Jason Terrell officiating. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger.
