Bobby Gene Tucker, 78, of Bromley passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 at his home. He was the retired owner of Tucker’s Restaurant, Downtown Cincinnati which he operated for more than 30 years.
Bobby Gene was a member of the Newport Church of God and the church’s Fire Choir. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Marines during Korean War as a Corporal.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carlene Simpson Tucker in 2011; his father, Escom Garth Tucker; son, Steve Tucker; and a brother, Mike Tucker.
Survivors include daughters, Sherrie Metz and Bobbie Tucker, both of Cincinnati; sons, Joe (Brittney) Tucker and Berry (Sharon) Tucker, both of Ludlow, Donald (Michelle) Tucker of Bromley and Kevin Tucker of Tennessee; mother, Maynie Belle Gosser Tucker of Cincinnati; brother, Joseph (Carla) Tucker of Cincinnati; sister, Betty Ayres of Loveland, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Visitation is Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Newport Church of God, 401 Keturah Street, Newport. Funeral services to immediately follow at 8:00 p.m. at the church. Private interment at the convenience of the family at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Ludlow is serving the family.
