Bob Reckers

Robert "Bob" P. Reckers, 91, of Erlanger, died Saturday, June 2, 2012, at the Baptist Convalescent Center in Newport. He was a retired tool and die maker with Liebel-Flarsheim of Reading, Ohio.

Born August 11, 1920 to the late George and Flora Hermann Reckers, Bob was a member of St. John Church, Covington and a World War II Army Air Corps Veteran.

Survivors include sons, Robert T. (Melinda) Reckers of Houston, Texas, Donald L. (Ann) Reckers of Independence, Stephen J. (Carol) Reckers of Montpelier, Vermont, and Edward P. (Denna) Reckers of Kenton County; daughters, Marie (Dennis) Moses of Independence and Amy J. (Michael) Sumner of Burlington; 19 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Welte Reckers in August, 2004.

Visitation is Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. John Church, Covington. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Reverend Michael Greer to celebrate Mass. Interment, with military honors, at Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright.
