Billy Ray “Bill” Stephens, 64 a lifelong resident of Burlington died Friday, August 9, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood. He was the supervisor of Shipping/Receiving for Skilcraft, LLC of Burlington and was in his 35th year with the company.
Mr. Stephens was a member of Sheet Metal Worker’s Local
# 24. He attended Burlington Baptist Church and he enjoyed deer hunting.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Geraldine “Gerry” Meece Stephens of Burlington; mother, Mary E. McArthur Stephens of Florence; daughter, Kris (Tony) Walsh of Union; two sons, Sean Stephens of Paris, Kentucky and Chad (Kaytlin) Stephens of Florence; sisters, Connie J. (Dan) Wentworth of Paris, Kentucky and Tena F. (Mark) Abdon of Boone County; brothers, Robert H. (Pat) Stephens of Burlington, James R. (Vivian) Stephens of Florence and Jerry L. (Julie) Stephens of Petersburg; six grandchildren, Brenna, Braden, Bryson, Brody, Billy Ray and Brendan; and a great granddaughter, Kaidence.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert K. Stephens; and step-son, David S. Meece.
Visitation is Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. Funeral services to follow at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Reverend Todd Toole officiating. Interment at Belleview Cemetery, Burlington.
