An Original Poem authored by Bill Myers

When I come to the end of my road
Miss me, but please let me go
I want no rites in a gloom filled room, you see
The Lord has had the sun set on me
Why cry for this soul God has set free
I did live the full life that He gave unto me
Miss me, but not for too long,
For as you see, there's a plan in the song
Your happiness always meant so much to me
Please don't live your life, with your head hung low
For God gave us the strength, so yes you can make it so
Remember, this is a journey we all must take and walk alone
But the love I received is what made it special, so please let me go
When you're lonely and sick in the heart
Go back in your memories and you will see, we are not really that far apart
When the burden is heavy, the light cannot be seen
Bury your sorrows in love and good deeds
The darkness will rob you as does the thief in the night
So let my life stand as a beacon, just follow the light
Families are precious, life is so short
Love them and hold them for that is the point
Stand strong and tall as an oak, but bend as a willow
For we are all children, use love as the pillow
