Betty Carolyn Marquette Edington, 87, died peacefully in her sleep at Rosedale Green on Thursday, August 8, 2013 following a long illness.
Mrs. Edington was very active for 12 years as a volunteer at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood where she received a Volunteer of the Year award. She also served as President of the Edgewood Senior Citizen Group and was an active member in her Sunday School Class at Erlanger Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sister, Edna (Dave) Pitts of Lexington; niece, Linda Chapman of Louisville; nephew, Dan Pitts of Fredrick, Maryland; and great nieces, Lindsay Chapman of Louisville and Nicole Chapman of St. Petersburg, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Edington; and parents, O. Harold and Edna Clara Rohr Marquette.
Memorial Service is Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Erlanger.
