Bernard L. “Bernie” Moore, U.S. Navy Retired, 75, of Burlington passed away Monday, July 10, 2017 at his home.
Having served his country for 25 years, he was a retired Chief Petty Officer for the U.S. Navy and a Vietnam War veteran. Bernie enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and cooking.
He was preceded in death by a son, Roger G. Moore in 1988; parents, Bessie Beach and William Moore, Sr.; and a brother, William Moore, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen “Blondie” Bowling Moore; daughter, Carrie (Roger) Fourtney of Roanoke, Virginia; sons, Donald E. (Veronica) Moore of Corinth and Gary D. (Carol) Mooreof Atlantic Beach, Florida; step son, Kevin L. (Michelle Morrison) Wingate of Burlington; step daughter, Karen D. (Jorge) Passalauqua of Hebron; sisters, Victoria (Bill) Fields of Louisville and Rose Smith of Burlington; brother, Robert (Marilyn) Moore of Burlington; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation is Friday, July 14, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. Funeral services to immediately follow at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Interment, with full military honors, at 2:00 p.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the donor’s favorite charity.
