Barney Hogan

February 28, 1928 — October 31, 2008

Bernard "Barney" Allan Hogan, 80, of Burlington, died Friday, October 31 at St. Elizabeth South Hospital in Edgewood. He was a retired Quality Control Manager for General Electric in Evendale for 39 years.

He was a United States Army Signal Corp Veteran serving in the Korean War.

Mr. Hogan was a member of Madision Avenue Christian Church in Covington, Past Master of Elvin E. Helms Lodge #926 F & AM, and former Chairman of the Boone County School Board. He was an alumni of the University of Kentucky and received his MBA at Xavier University.

He was a sports fan and a lifelong supporter of the Cincinnati Reds.

Surviving is his wife, Patricia A. Helms Hogan; daughter, Jacqueline K. Herrington of Hebron; brothers, Paul Hogan and Ray Hogan, both of Burlington; and three grandchildren, Jordan Dallas, Christian Dallas, and Evan Dallas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph A. and Hilda Houston Hogan.
