Barbara Dye

November 3, 1920 — October 16, 2008

Barbara Ruth Edwards Dye, 87, of Florence, formerly of Hebron, died Thursday, October 16 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. She was a retired Bookmobile Clerk with the Boone County Schools.

She was a member of the Hebron Lutheran Church, the Quilters Club at Hebron Lutheran Church, the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), and the Boone County Homemakers Club.

Mrs. Dye was an original board member of the Boone County Library Board and a Docent for the Dinsmore House.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Jo (Robert) Kuhns of Lebanon, Ohio; sons, John T. (Mary) Dye of Hebron, Robert H. (Suzanne) Dye of Hebron, and Harold W. (Brenda) Dye of California, Kentucky; daughter in law, Debbie Dye; sister, Lucille Turner of Florence; brother in law, James Elliston of Hebron; sister in law, Evelyn Edwards of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Henry Dye; son, Michael Ray Dye; and parents, Owen and Amanda Wells Edwards.
