Alyce McKinley Greenlee Layton, 99, formerly of Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, died April 15, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood, Kentucky. For the past eight years, she was a resident of Rosedale Manor in Latonia, Kentucky.
She was born in West Union, Ohio, on January 5, 1913, the daughter of the late John Greenlee and Fannie Dell Taylor Greenlee.
She was employed by the Doscher’s Candy Company for 10 years and previous to that by the Red Cross/U.S. Shoe Company in Norwood, Ohio for 35 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Angeline Logsdon Brinkmann; four grandchildren, Sandra Stevison (Jim), Cynthia Brinkman, Forrest Logsdon, and John Brinkman; three great-grandchildren, Eric Bedel, Kelli Nordman (Rob) and Forrest Logsdon Jr.; and two great-great grandchilden, Kylee Nordman and Levi Samuel Logsdon.
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, George Barry Brinkman; three sisters, Eleanor Bell, Lucille Stricklen, and Jessie Potts: and four brothers, Floyd Greenlee, Eustus (Huck) Greenlee, John Greenlee and Samuel Greenlee.
Visitation is Thursday, April 19, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington. Graveside Service at 11:45 a.m. at Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright. Pastors Danny and Linda Morgan officiating.
