Alice Brown

Alice C. (Goodridge) Brown, 90, of Independence, passed away Sunday evening at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood, Kentucky. 

Alice was born on April 30, 1934, in Taylorsport, Kentucky to the late Thomas and Essie (Morehead) Goodridge. A longtime active member of Florence Baptist Temple, Burlington, for many years, she worked in various restaurants in the area as a server. Alice was also a retired bookkeeper for Brown Marine Co., Williamsburg, Ohio and she enjoyed crafting, painting and animals. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Worley M. Brown in 2014; a son, Michael Leek in 2021; and her parents and siblings. 

Survivors include daughter, Patricia (Tim) Glauer; son, Paul (Linda) Leek; daughter in law, Bobbie Leek; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Visitation is 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon, Thursday, March 13, 2025, at the Florence Baptist Temple, 1898 Old Florence Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. Funeral services to immediately follow at 12:00 Noon at the church with Pastor Joshua Keeny officiating. Interment will be in Hebron Lutheran Cemetery, Hebron.
